I am quite satisfied with this product and like that it had two slicing blades one for very thin slices and one for a thicker slices. I wanted a slicer that could make thin slices for potato chips, and dehydrating. I am a gadget lover and have a electric slicer for bread and meat, and have used it for veggies, but it is loud and hard to clean. I also have a food processer but it is also a pain to clean, and takes up a lot of space in the dishwasher, plus the blade for slicing only sliced thick slices. This works good for small jobs, and is easy to just rinse off the blades. The slicing blade if VERY sharp and easy to slice veggies like onions, green peppers, and potatoes. I haven’t used all of the attachments, but am pleased that the blades are very sharp. I was afraid that using it would take a lot of muscle since I have arthritis, but it is very easy to use. I am very glad for the safety glove because I have had my share of kitchen accidents. Hopefully everyone uses this product using safety precautions. I have a been known to ignore instructions and regretted it. The product came will blade holder, but I prefer to store the parts inside of slicer. Update: I started to use one of the ribbon blade and found it difficult, so I came back and decided to watch the video, I wish they would have the demonstrator narrate and explain how to hold the hold the vegetable, because I didn’t have much luck with that blade. Most of the demonstrators seem to be practiced, I wish they would share some of their knowledge with a greenhorn like myself. :UPDATE I have had this slicer for about a month and the slicing blades are dull. I use it to slice potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions for the dehydrator, I only did small amounts. I thought maybe I could get replacement blades and when another customer asked about replacement blade he was told to just buy another one. Shouldn’t the blades last more than a month. I realize that it was only $20, but if they only last a short time shouldn’t you be able to get replacements? $20 is not a lot but not if you have to buy one every month or so.

It is a very good mandolin, works fine, is very easy to deal with. Overall I am happy. Maybe just a little disappointed it is very small. On one hand some will find that an advantage as it takes up less space on the counter or storage but for me it is not very comfortable to work in such a narrow space. It’s my fault that I didn’t pay enough attention to the specifics and trusted the photos.Update: September 8 – Is indeed very small and I find it hard to work with. I am a big guy that likes to prepare his own salads and I find the size of this mandolin hard and awkward to work with. The blades are not that good except for the slicers that work reasonably and as for the spiralizer I never used it so far. I tried to add some raw turnip and raw eggplant to my salads that I usually add in thin like Julianne sticks and it was impossible to deal with such hard texture. The blades are not the best and I had to revert to my old mandolins that have blades already very dull and I got better performance with those old tools.This may be very good for ladies with smaller hands and less hard vegetables. I’m sure it will work well with cheese and soft things that I rarely use.

Ik raad dit product zeker aan! Het is goed, stevig en vooral een scherp product! Bij de eerste keer komkommer snijden heb ik zo een stukje van me vinger mee eraf gesneden (Ik voelde er niks van en zonder enige troubles of moeite was het er zo vanaf!)
