it was considerably cheaper than oem mercury part. I have had it al most 2 months and it works fine as long as it lasts.

Wiring came off at opposite direction and was too short to follow original route.
It was a good fit, bolted right in. The wiring came out in the wrong direction. Had to cut a tie wrap and gently bend it in opposite direction since it was glued that way. Put on a tie wrap and then found the wires were too short to follow original path to ignition switch. Just routed it a different way. Not a big deal to me, but may be to some one else. 1986 Merc 35hp. Engine fired right up.

Installed it on my 91 mercury 25 works grate.
I installed this with the jetunit cdi and trigger switch. If you replace this it’s best to replace the trigger unit and cdi as well just made the wiring a lot easier to figure out.

Unbelievably Bad Experience
I purchased this stator for a Mercury 25 Outboard. The part number of my motor indicated it was the correct part. Prior to placing the order I read the reviews here where some folks reported problems with this stator hitting the flywheel. I emailed JetUnit and asked them if this would happen and they confirmed it is the correct part for my serial number and said I would not have this problem so I bought it.Two months later the flywheel is hitting the stator causing the motor to shut off.Nevermind I now have to source the part again.Nevermind I must perform the repair again.Nevermind I have to rent a darn flywheel puller from my auto parts store again.The worst part is, I emailed JetUnit and politely reported the problem and provided details and responded to their questions asking for more details, but each time I did they just asked more questions. Eventually their questions became circular and I finally realized they were just kicking the can down the road. Shame on this company. They had two weeks during our back-and-forth correspondence to do something about this but did not. I’ve never written a scathing review before now and cannot overstate I would not buy a thing from this company. The customer service experience was an astounding nightmare.
