As someone who is going through her first pregnancy and cannot decide what to eat, this book has been perfect. It has helped me to figure out healthy meals for my husband and I, as well as, snacks throughout the day.

As someone who struggled a lot with food during the first half of my pregnancy, this book has helped me get back to cooking and enjoying a wider range of meals again. I love these recipes, they are accessible, unfussy, and so far quite delicious. I also like that they are healthy without seeming to be a part of any health food trend. I have also needed to track my protein and appreciate that she shares nutrition info so I can easily do that.I had to take off one star because I often find the directions seem to be missing certain details. I use my intuition to fill in gaps since I cook a lot, but it does sometimes seem like the recipe could be a little more detailed and may be confusing. I do still highly recommend this book, so far it is my favorite pregnancy cook book and I use it daily.

Only for health nuts
This book is good if you are a health nut. Itâs got all the food that might be super healthy, but the average person wonât want to eat it. A balanced diet that you can live with is what most people want. This doesnât cut it.

Absolute Lifesaver!!
This book has been an absolute lifesaver for me in the first trimester! I have had the worst food aversions to almost everything I was eating pre-pregnancy. I bought this in the hopes of finding some new dishes that wouldn’t turn my stomach and it has delivered! I’ve done quite a few recipes and I’m thrilled with the freshness, flavor, and nutritional profile of the recipes. I really appreciate the tags on each recipe to find things easily that fit whatever I’m dealing with at the moment (morning sickness, dehydration, etc). The best part is that I’ve scaled these recipes to feed our large family and they are easy to customize for food allergies and my kids have all eaten everything I’ve made. The chicken/black bean/salsa bake made the best homemade burritos we’ve ever had. I’ll be using these recipes for the next few months, and many more beyond.
