Update:The device only lasted a few days past the return availability date. We are not sure if moisture in rhe bags was the issue, but it wouldn’t turn iff then we recharged it thinking it might reset. Never turned on again.ð®âð¨We live tiny so storage is an issue and are impressed with the sealing power of this compact device.Even if you have tons of storage space the ability to reuse the bags many time is a win for us.

At Last!
Finally, a vacuum sealer that doesn’t involve heat sealing. Even though special bags are needed, the convenience is worth it.I’ve been looking for something like this for years. I’ve even resorted to getting air out of freezer bags by sucking air out through a straw… not recommended for raw chicken.

Being new to vacuum sealing products, I first tested this little handheld sealer. In reality, it is a extremely low powered air removal and suction device that is held in one hand. It is used with proprietary pre-cut bags that have a little valve built into each bag. It appears to me that the primary marketing gimmick is that the supplied bags can be reused more than once. Therefore implied savings I guess. However , my experience was that only 30% of the 8 bags of dried cat food which I sealed, retained airtightness for more than 12 hours. All the others immediately became filled with air within 12 hours. So complete waste of my time and an amazingly high defect rate . I contacted the manufacturer who said there might have been something wrong with the bags that came with it, and offered to send me more bags. That is not a good way to start off a user experience or produce confidence in a product in my opinion. I declined his offer. Instead, now being a more educated consumer at this stage, I then saw the vast majority of other air sealers here on Amazon use an entirely different technology (NOT reusable bags with a valve in each bag). I can see why! All the other brands use a much stronger motor to suck out more air, then use a built in heating wire which thermally (heat) seals the plastic bag airtight. That technology works great, is reliable, and Technically speaking, you could even cut open one of the heat sealed bags on the edge , clean it out so it was perfectly dry, then use it again for another ceiling test. Personally I wouldn’t want to go through the hassle, but it could be done . In any case, the bags and rolls designed to be used with heat ceiling units are quite economical . I have no idea why this little handheld unit remains for sale, because there are so many other heat ceiling units here on Amazon that do a better job and they start at the same price as this useless little handheld unit. Consider yourself warned! My advice isdDon’t waste your time with this unit, rather get one of the heat sealing vacuum sealers here on Amazon to avoid wasting your time with a return which is what I did with this one.
