Measurement markings are completely incorrect. Totally useless for measuring.
The measurement markings on these bowls are completely incorrect. At the ¼ cup measurement, the bowl actually holds ½ cup. The ½ cup marking is actually ¾ cup. The ¾ cup marking is actually 1 cup. The 1 cup marking is actually 1½ cups. And the 1½ cup marking is actually 2 cups. These are totally useless for measuring. I will be returning them today.

They do what they’re supposed to
If you’re watching portion sizes, these are pretty good. They’re plastic, so I have doubts about lower-rack dishwasher longevity, or how long the markings will last, or extended microwaving. And we’ve cracked one (I can’t remember if we dropped it, or what, but we were fairly quickly down to 3).I wish I could find these types of marked bowls in ceramic. Something with 1/2 cup increments embossed in the side of a white glazed bowl would be perfect. In the meantime, these are fine.3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.

Everything about them is great except the fact that if you use the lines in the bowl, you will be way over whatever portion youâre supposed to be eating by as much as a quarter cup at times.

Cute little bowls, but measurements are inaccurate
These are cute little bowls that are useful for eating from, as long as you don’t use them for very hot foods or microwaving, as the Amazon site indicates. But the measurements are woefully incorrect. I poured a 1/2 cup of water from a calibrated measuring cup into this bowl, and the bowl indicated that it was only 1/4 cup. I tried several different times with the same result. Great product – if you want to cheat on your diet.
